About the Founder


Susan Carson, the Founder and Managing Director of Harland Hansen HR Specialists, possesses more than 15 years’ generalist HR experience in a wide range of industries including Manufacturing, Construction, Business Travel, Housing, Not For Profit, Finance and Insurance, Elite Sport, Hospitality and Telecommunications. Susan achieved her Bachelor of Business majoring in Human Resource Management from Australian Catholic University in Brisbane in 2005.

After gaining invaluable experience in a mixture of both large and small organisations in Australia, UK and Canada, Susan found her passion lies in two areas: partnering with managers and business owners, providing the skills and tools to manage their HR issues with confidence; and coaching candidates on job applications, interview techniques, and workplace conflict resolutions.

Susan’s no-nonsense yet fun and friendly approach, coupled with her professional, customer-centric attitude will guarantee your HR requirements, whether business or personal, will be understood and delivered with your desired outcomes.
